The MLK library and Utica Public Library teamed up during National Library Week (April 19-25) to encourage students to visit their local public library. MLK librarian Mrs. Bruno distributed color-your-own bookmarks and a UPL events calendar to all students and motivated them to visit the library throughout the month. Students who visited the library and had their bookmarks stamped received a certificate, a laminated bookmark and a small prize. The first visitor was kindergartner Aliza. Don’t forget to show your support for your local library this month!
