From July 15 through August 14, the Utica City School District Athletic Department hosted its annual Summer Lacrosse Clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays at John F. Kennedy Middle School.
The four-week clinic gave student-athletes the opportunity to sharpen their stick skills, refine tactical awareness and elevate their overall conditioning throughout the summer. Players participated in structured group drills and scrimmages designed to improve stick handling, enhance field vision and build the quick decision-making needed for high-tempo gameplay.
Throughout the program, athletes worked on offensive and defensive concepts, focusing on dodging, fast-break execution, positional defense and transition play. Training also emphasized dynamic warm-ups, core agility, injury prevention and athletic conditioning, helping participants prepare for a successful upcoming lacrosse season.
Thank you to the coaches, staff and student-athletes whose dedication, hard work and enthusiasm made this year's Summer Lacrosse Clinic a successful and rewarding experience.
